Shawnee Hills Golf Course
Known as “Northeast Ohio’s Total Golf Experience,” Shawnee Hills Golf Course is a public course that includes 27 holes, including an 18-hole regulation course and a 9-hole Par 3 course. The original 18 holes were designed in 1957 by local architect Ben Zink who was a golf course superintendent at Acacia and Kirtland, and designed Berkshire Hills in Chesterland and Landerhaven Golf Course in Mayfield Heights. The expansion of the course was designed and constructed by Cleveland Metroparks staff with the exception of “gorge holes” #11 and #12. From the original 9-hole regulation course, only four holes remain intact.
Shawnee Hills is the most versatile course in Cleveland Metroparks as players can practice and take lessons on the 29-station driving range, and beginners can practice on the Par 3 course. The 18-hole course features rolling hills and large pine, maple, and oak trees.
