When planning your visit, and deciding upon a place to stay, there are many options. You can camp out in the park or stay, in your RV outside the park. You can stay at one of the small bed and breakfasts in the park, stay at a local hotel, or if someone desires the big city feel when going to sleep, you can stay in a bigger hotel, in either Cleveland or Akron. These cities are both a short 25 minute drive from the park.

Between late May and late October, one can camp at one of five officially designated camping sites in the National Park. The fee is $20 per night. The price includes six people. One should make a reservation by calling 330-657-2909 ext. 119.

Recreational Vehicles (RVs)

At the Canal Exploration Center, and other Cuyahoga Valley visitor centers, there are special parking spaces for RVs. This ability is only for daytime hours. At night, one can drive his RV out of the confines of the park, and pull over to the side of the road, before retiring for the night.
